The new facility’s vehicle maintenance repair shop can accommodate any type of vehicle, from cars to class 7 and 8 heavy-duty trucks, located anywhere within the 100-foot deep and almost 100-foot wide garage. The modern vehicle exhaust ventilation system meets OSHA regulations and is a proactive measure Rockland County took to protect employee health and safety. To meet International Mechanical Code, which requires vehicle maintenance facilities to use source capture systems that directly connect to vehicle exhaust pipes to capture emissions, Clean Air Company installed a hose reel storage system that allows the hose reel to travel the full distance of each maintenance bays. The system collects toxic vehicle exhaust directly from vehicle exhaust pipes and transports it out of the building, helping Rockland County improve workplace safety and efficiency, reduce potential liabilities, and improve operational efficiency.
