Project Portfolio
This is a sampling of various projects and industries served where we installed products to improve the air quality for employees in the workplace. Contaminants can be in the form of dust particles or vapors with varying degrees of corrosiveness, explosibility and exposure limit values. All get taken into consideration when applying products.
Dust Collectors
Nuetraceutical Dust
Parker SFC-6 was used on a capsule and tablet press operation. The unit filters 3,000 CFM and then the air is returned into the plant.
Parker SFC-6
Wood Dust
Parker SFC-6 cartridge collector for wood dust application. Top mounted explosion relief panel and rotary air lock. This unit is integrated into a smart panel that controls air flow, pulse cleaning, dust level sensor and emergency shut down.
Parker SFC-6
Zirconium Dust
Amtec ADT-2 cartridge collector application for light tablet press dust loading application. Unit delivers 1,000 CFM, utilizes a 20 gallon collection drum and is equipped with secondary safety after filter on return air side
Amtech ADT-2
Extraction Arms
Cosmetic Vapors
Major cosmetic manufacture uses numerous 4” diameter chemical resistant Alsident extraction arms to protect employees from vapors and gasses that escape from a chamber.
Alsident System 100 CR
R&D Chemical Fumes
Chemical company mixing noncorrosive chemicals in their R&D lab. The use of Plymovent 4” diameters arms provide 250 CFM source capture which is ducted to a scrubber for vapor removal.
Plymovent MM-100W
Welding Fumes
Welding schools where students learn their trade and avoid exposure to harmful chemicals such as hexavalent chromium, cadmium and manganese by using Coral extraction arms. Extraction arms in welding allow source capture of the pollutants, thus preventing the harmful fumes from passing the welders’ breathing zones whether they are Stick, MIG or TIG welding.

Oil Mist Collectors
Centralized Oil Mist Collection
A medical implant and components company that mills fine parts on CNC machines uses a central system rather than direct mount units to minimize their maintenance and removal of byproduct. This particular oil mist collector is directly ported to multiple machines where the waste is collected in a single collector for ease of disposal. One centralized fan and collector can save energy and lead to much more efficient maintenance SOPs within a facility.

Oil Mist Collection System
An aviation product manufacturer uses 16 ceiling-mounted Plymovent fume extraction arms that provide 11,000 CFM source capture, along with a watertight US Duct gasketed pipe duct system, to convey oil mist generated during the manufacturing process to a Filter-1 mist collector outside the building. The Filter-1 mist collector comprises a Chevron mist impinger and high-efficiency filters, which are easily accessible through the hinged and gasketed mist collector doors. The mist impinger and high-efficiency filters lasted nearly 18 months before requiring service.

Oil Mist Machining
A company that operates CNC lathes such as this Doosan PUMA GT 2600 may be using various coolants from water and mineral to oil based can source capture their mist particles with a direct mount unit such as this AQE Mistbuster Media unit. AQE also makes Electrostatic Precipitating Units (ESP), which achieve higher airflow rates due to lower operating pressures as there’s no media to restrict flow.

Vehicle Exhaust Systems
Firehouse Vehicle Exhaust System
The Plymovent exhaust removal system connects directly to the vehicle tailpipe and transports harmful emissions directly outdoors via a high-pressure blower. The exhaust fan turns on automatically whenever the vehicle starts. The exhaust hose travels with the vehicle as it enters and exits the station and disconnects instantaneously as it approaches the exit door. Numerous studies have documented increased cancer rates among firefighters compared with the general population. These rates can be attributed to exposure to contaminated air at fire scenes and diesel exhaust in the station. Our systems source capture these dangerous fumes to protect firefighters.

Motorized Hose Reels
The Plymovent MER hose reel is a tremendous option when dealing with higher ceiling heights for facilities with larger vehicles such as New Rochelle DPW above. The motorized hose reel can work with a pendant switch to be raised and lowered and start/stop the fan. The damper on the hose reel will automatically open when the hose reel is lowered and automatically closes when the reel is retracted. Motorized hose reels come with varied lifting capacities depending upon the application.

Spring-operated Extraction Hose Reel
PlymoVent SER-850-AD is a hose reel with automatic damper designed to open when the hose is pulled down and used. Various size hoses with varying temperature ratings can be used depending on the engine size of the vehicles. Hose retracts out of the way for a free unobstructed workspace.
