New Brunswick Scientific is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of advanced biotechnology equipment.  One aspect of the manufacturing process involves the use of chemicals that give off harmful gasses.  The room, in which this process takes place required Clean Air.

 The Air Quality M-66 was installed for the filtration of these off gasses without venting the air outdoors.  The unit was equipped with two carbon filter modules with 45 lbs. of carbon per module for a total of 90 lbs. of filter media for the adsorption of gasses.

A plenum was installed on the front of the M-66 unit so a duct system could be attached allowing the implementation of three PlymoVent MMH extraction arms.  The PlymoVent arms are flexible so they can be positioned in the various locations requiring fume extraction.  

Two other locations similar in design were installed with different filter configurations for the removal of  soldering smoke and fumes.  The flexibility of the M-66 allows the unit to be ceiling mounted so floor space is kept open.  Combined with the PlymoVent extraction arms, it allows for effective capture of fumes at the source.
